Hi there, my name is Abigail Faris, and I currently play for the U17 Whitecaps Girls team in London, Ontario. We compete in the OPDL, which is the equivalent of the ECNL, the top youth league in Ontario, Canada.
I am a dynamic, quick-thinking player who thrived this past season after being moved to centre-back, where I’ve been able to showcase my explosiveness and leadership. While I’m comfortable playing as a CDM or outside back on either side, centre-back has allowed me to make the biggest impact. As an attacker-minded defender, I enjoy stepping into play, driving the ball forward through the middle, and being a strong core piece for teams that like to build from the back.
Beyond soccer, I am committed to my academics and take pride in balancing my studies with my athletic pursuits. My background in cross country and volleyball has strengthened my athleticism, versatility, and endurance, while also helping me develop strong time-management skills.
